Sodium reduction is a hot topic in today’s food manufacturing; therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that feedback was positive at the Scelta booth at last week’s IFT tradeshow.
Scelta and Cambrian have been working together on Camlow™, a line of natural sodium reduction ingredients, as a way to combat the harmful effects of high-sodium diets. Camlow™ works as a flavour enhancer as well as a replacement for ingredients like autolyzed yeast extract (AYE), I+G, and monosodium glutamate.
